Who am I?
Ben McNamara, that's me. I'm still trying to figure out what that means exactly. Here's what I already know:
I am a 24-year-old singer-songwriter from Zurich. Using my dynamic and soulful voice I want to evoke emotions. The compositions I create with my steel-string acoustic guitar are best decribed as indie folk, though my sound is very polymorphic. I try to create an authentic mix of personal stories, broad sounds and infectious energy with my music. Sometimes loud and center stage à la showman, sometimes quiet and in the background, immersed in myself and my feelings.
Stage experience
At the age of seven, I started to accompany my childish voice with my guitar and it wasn't long before my parents put me in the spotlight. Since then, in my 17 years as a growing musician, I have been able to gain a lot of stage experience; from private parties, public gigs in various local venues, to large corporate events. Below, you'll find an overview of the most important performances I have had so far.
